Nuzzlets is DEFRA/ CEVAS accredited, all risk assessments are in place and continually reviewed and updated as necessary.
Many of our volunteers are experienced teachers and first aid trained, a first aider is always available.
We want to ensure that everyone has a safe and happy visit; all animals naturally carry a range of micro-organisms some of which can be transmitted to humans, and cause ill health.
If you have any allergies to hay, fur or dust, please inform us before your visit.
Be quiet around the animals. Do supervise children carefully.
Listen to instructions. Do not kiss the animals.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water when you have touched the animals.
Do not eat or drink while touching the animals.
Do not suck your fingers or put your hands or any item in your mouth.
Only eat in the picnic area, do not eat food that has fallen on the floor.
Before leaving, change or clean your footwear, clean pushchair and wheelchair wheels.
Our visitors should wear appropriate clothing, be warm and dry. The children are the carers/families/teachers responsibility during the visit. Nuzzlets staff will give guided tours, advice and information on animal welfare, supervise the animals and support the visitors as much as possible.
